Visiting underprivileged families from door to door

In this service, volunteers visited underprivileged families in Sham Shui Po from door to door and introduced them some accessible community resources and supporting services. Through the visit, not only were the volunteers  able to show their care, but also gain a better understanding of the needy from different backgrounds in the society.

Description

Participating in this service was meaningful. This was the first time I knocked on the door of different flats to introduce the service of the Salvation Army. Additionally, I have stepped out from my comfort zone to do something that I have never done before. I hope I can join other services that are new to me in the future.
