HKUST Bread Run (Oct 2015)

A team of 47 students collected surplus fresh bread from Maxim's Cakes stores across Hong Kong at an event organized by Feeding Hong Kong. The team collected more than 450 pieces from nearly 30 stores. The most collected from one store was 65 pieces of surplus fresh bread. 

Collected bread were then delivered to 5 charities including shelters for the homeless, migrant workers and women's refuges, senior day centers, refugee and new immigrant support centers, children's homes, and other non-profit programs that provide food for people in need.
