Autumn is always an ideal time for hiking, and that is why Hiking with Elderly returns! HKUST collaborates with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen District Elderly Community Centre again to connect HKUST students and elderly from Shau Kei Wan District together for another hike on Hong Kong Island.
The group started off at the Peak Galleria and walked along the Peak Circle Walk, accompanied by one of the most stunning sceneries of Hong Kong, the Victoria Harbour. After taking a break, they continued to hike to the Pokfulam Reservoir. Both the elderly and students had a better understanding towards each other through the causal chat during the hike and they all had a joyful Saturday morning.
