HKUST Bread Run

A team of 77 students collected surplus of fresh bread from Maxim's cake stores all across Hong Kong during the event organized by Feeding Hong Kong. Our team collected more than 1100 pieces of bread from 63 stores all around Hong Kong. In case you were wondering, largest number of pieces of bread we collected from one store was 139 pieces!

Early next morning, the bread was delivered to 9 charities including shelters for the homeless, migrant workers and women's refuges, senior day centers, refugee and new immigrant support centers, children's homes, and other nonprofit programs that provide food for the people in need.
