Training Session - Residential Child Care Service Program「兒家有您」服務計劃 - 訓練班

This program has been re-run this year, aiming at raising HKUST students' awareness of the children living in Children's Home and providing emotional support to these children. Seven students were recruited to form a service group for this program. The program consisted of three parts, including attending a training session, conducting regular tutorials for the children, and organizing a Christmas party.

Before providing services, all our volunteers attended this training session conducted by the social worker from the collaborating unit. In the training session, volunteers become more familiar with the Children’s Home and the characteristics of target recipients. They have learned the skills about tutoring and interacting with children through some mini-games as well.
