16 HKUST volunteers joined together with the Hong Kong Police Force and Sai Kung community as they hosted a “Sai Kung Sea Safety Day” to promote public awareness about safety when engaging in boating and other recreational activities out at sea.
Our volunteers helped out by distributing promotional leaflets and souvenirs alongside of the police officers. After volunteering, the students were invited to participate in a community visit to learn more about Sai Kung from community leaders, and a marine policing exercise which included a tour on a marine police boat!
