Unleashing Excellence 升級家加分

Since March 2012, HKUST students have been volunteering as tutors to primary school students served by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Residential Child Care Services. In addition to difficult family circumstances, these primary school students often encounter problems with their schoolwork as well. Our student volunteers joined this meaningful tutorial service hoping to ease their academic difficulties. The volunteers tutored the children in English in the Small Group Home every Thursday. Through the teaching process, not only did the children benefit academically, but our volunteers were also able to gain a deeper understanding about the needs of the underprivileged children.
