This program aims to increase public awareness of handwashing with soap. This year, UNICEF HK celebrated GHD with the support from Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, Society for Community Organization (SoCO) and Soap Cycling Ltd. HKUST volunteers helped to recycle hotel soap by making it wonderfully shaped and wrapped soap. The finished products were collected and sent to deprived children in Hong Kong as well as some developing countries who cannot afford to buy soap for washing hands, so as to spread care, and help them fight against diseases and live healthily.
