Global Handwashing Day, Hong Kong Action Day - "Soap for Good"

This year, UNICEF HK celebrated Global Handwashing Day with the support from Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, Society for Community Organization (SoCO) and Soap Cycling Ltd. HKUST volunteers helped to recycle hotel soap by making it nicely shaped and wrapped. The finished products were collected and sent to underprivileged children in Hong Kong as well as developing countries who cannot afford basic necessities such as soap for handwashing. This program aims to spread care and to help these children fight against diseases to lead healthy lives.
