Youth concentrating on science teaching at CCF

Beyond World Gallery of Hope is a student-initiated service project. A group of students continued the effort of World Gallery of Hope which aimed to show love and care to the Cambodian children. They went to Cambodia from Jan 5 to 11, 2012. They brought love and happiness to two orphanages (Wat Opot and Who Will), Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) and slum schools.

Before going to Cambodia, our students attended several workshops to prepare for the teaching contents and learn about the history of Cambodia and the NGOs. At the beginning of the trip, they visited CCF community centres and stayed there for three days. They provided science and English teaching and introduced effective self-learning skills to the youth at CCF. After that, they went to Who Will Village and Wat Opot Children’s Community and spread their love through various outdoor activities and art classes with the kids. Finally, the group visited slum schools and shared their love with the students. Last day, the group had cultural exchange in Phnom Penh to explore the history of Cambodia. After the trip, our students had better understanding of the local people and appreciated the culture more.
