4 students who have been enthusiastically serving children from small group homes since Oct 2010 engaged and led another group of students to organize a fun day at HKUST for these children to celebrate Christmas. Before the event, students attended a workshop conducted by the social worker from the partner NGO to get acquainted with the characteristics and needs of the children. They then planned treasure hunt activities and prepared materials accordingly. Aside from playing with the kids, our volunteers also showed them the beauty of our campus and shared about university life with them as well.
