Fun with English - Thanksgiving Day Camp

Fun with English is initiated by 4 students from the Service Learning and Leadership Community at UG Hall VII, aiming at stimulating mainland Chinese immigrant children's interest in English, raising their willingness to participate in English-based activities, as well as increasing their confidence in using English. The previous activity of their project held in April 2011 can be found here.

This time they organized a series of activities around the theme of Thanksgiving to familiarize the new immigrant young children with Western culture and also to provide an English immersion environment for them to practice conversational English. Student volunteers from different cultural backgrounds devoted themselves to activity preparations, providing on-site logistic support and facilitating the children's participation in this fun day.
