The Program was student-initiated and has been successfully held in June, 2009 and January, 2010.  This trip is the Group’s continued effort to help the Sichuan primary school students to see the fun in learning science and motivate them to apply their knowledge in daily lives.

The Program is combined with three parts, the 3-day pre-trip teaching workshop preparing them for experiencing, the 7-day trip making observation and constructing meaning and the reunion articulating learning experience.  During the teaching workshop, the participants learnt the experiments they need to teach the primary students in Sichuan and the classroom management skills.  Reading materials and teaching guide were also distributed to them to let them have a better understanding of the situation in Sichuan and the preparation of teaching.
