Children enjoyed the time with our student volunteers.

The program commenced in June 2009 whereby HKUST students demonstrate their care and support to post-earthquake Sichuan via visiting and volunteer teaching primary students at Sichuan schools. After the visit in June 2009, participants are motivated to revisit the place again.
The Program is combined with three parts, the 3-day pre-trip teaching workshop preparing them for experiencing, the10-day trip making observation and constructing meaning and the reunion articulating learning experience.  During the teaching workshop, the participants learnt the experiments they need to teach the primary students in Sichuan and the classroom management skills.  Reading materials and teaching guide were also distributed to them to let them have a better understanding of the situation in Sichuan and the preparation of teaching.
