BFA Annual Conference 2024

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will organise the BFA Annual Conference 2024 in Hainan from 26 to 29 March 2024. With this year's theme being "Asia and the World: Common Challenges, Shared Responsibilities", the 4-day event will take place in the forms of forum, roundtable discussions, TV debate and themed dinner, for high-level dialogue among government, business and academia. The Conference would be attended by heads of state/government, ministers of economic affairs and leaders of international organisation. The Education Bureau is co-ordinating the nomination of volunteers from universities to support the Conference. Selected volunteers will be deployed to various working teams including but not limited to event management, communications, enquiries and logistics support.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by BFA and Y.Elites respectively. According to Y.Elites, insurance and living expenses during the entire commitment period will be included for all participating students, except the incidentals.

Eligibility and Requirements

Description
  1. Students aged 23 to 35 of all fields and level of studies and having valid travel documents to enter the Mainland are welcome. Priority would be given to local students as this exercise targets to broaden the exposure of Hong Kong youths.
  2. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is mandatory. Being patriotic, having an interest in current affairs and appreciation of the importance of worldview.
  3. Being available throughout the entire period of commitment, from 23 to 30 March 2024.

Interested students please submit your CV to connect@ust.hk on or before 10 March (Sun) for screening.

Due to the limited number of places available, each university is invited to nominate 1 student for shortlisting and interviewing by Y.Elites.
