[This is a workshop in Changemaker Gear Up Training Series (GUTS)]

Welcome to your first year in university! Going to a new environment can be intimidating with all the new facilities, new information, or even new faces. But we are here to help you make the most out of your university life, which needs your courage and determination. In this workshop, you will be able to identify the qualities and mindset of a changemaker. You will also be encouraged to take further actions to build up your changemaking muscles and skills to make positive impact.

  • What is changemaking and who can be a changemaker
  • Changemaker qualities and mindsets
  • Actions you can take to develop yourself as a changemaker


Aims & Objectives
To identify changemaker qualities and mindsets; and actions that make one a changemaker. 

Description

#Complete 3 GUTS talks/workshops to get a certificate of participation.

Remarks:
1. Priority will be given to HKUST Connect registrants (Start your changemaking journey with HKUST Connect: https://connect.hkust.edu.hk/joinus).

2. To avoid interruption and hindering the progress of the session, facilitators may not admit new participants who are late for more than 10 minutes.

3. [CORE1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of CORE1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 1.5 hours.

4. [Changemaker 30] 3 Points will be awarded upon complete attendance of the session for Changemaker 30 registrants.
