Empower yourself with essential storytelling skills to communicate and influence.

[This is a workshop in Changemaker Gear Up Training Series (GUTS)*]

Do you find it challenging to communicate your goals in life? Do you find it hard to engage your audience and make yourself memorable? Storytelling helps us define our identity. It helps us make sense of our world, communicate ourselves, and connect with others. Harnessing the power of storytelling can elevate us to become a charismatic speaker, not only locally, but also on the international stage. Would you like to gain a competitive edge in your next thesis presentation, startup idea pitch, or job interview? Join this workshop to learn to become a more impactful storyteller, starting from your own personal story.

Pre-workshop preparations:

1.    Read this 5-min article "Storytelling, American style

2.    Come up with a scenario, such as an interview for a summer internship, study abroad scholarship, or a thesis defense. Spend 15 minutes to write the first 2 minutes of your pitch, whether it is about yourself, an idea, or a research project.
