Collecting surplus bread from stores around Hong Kong

Every day, while one million people still live in poverty struggling to afford nutritious meals, 3,600 tonnes of food waste are sent to landfills in Hong Kong. Feeding Hong Kong (FHK) is a food banking initiative intended to fill this gap. In Bread Run, volunteers will collect surplus fresh bread from bakeries across Hong Kong and bring them to the food bank. All donations are distributed by the Feeding Hong Kong charity network the following morning to non-profit programs that provide food to those in need.
