Summer Service Learning Program (Jul 2024)
In the coming Summer, you will have the opportunity to organize activities for underprivileged children, explore local cultures in Xinjiang, China. Through engaging in service program, you will be able to broaden your horizons, enrich your university life, and identify your responsibilities as a global citizen. You can make real impact to the local community, and gain authentic cultural experiences that you can't get from a traditional classroom.
You are expected to attend all pre-trip workshops and spare time in sub-team meetings to conduct a research and prepare service plans for the trip throughout the semester. During the trip, you can also explore many dimensions of the culture and history of the service location.
Financial Support
You may apply for the Connect Overseas Learning Experience Sponsorship Scheme (OLESS) to receive subsidy to cover part of the program fee. Additional consideration will be given to those with financial need. Find out more about the scheme here.

Exploring Xinjiang: Service Learning Trip 探索新疆︰服務學習行
Collaborating with the Y.L. Yang Foundation, volunteers will visit a primary school in Turpan, Xinjiang and organize workshops for students, with the aim of supporting and empowering their lives.
