Student Civic Fellowship - an alternative to internship where work and service meet

Student Civic Fellowships (Winter 2021)

Student Civic Fellowships facilitated by HKUST Connect are designed to give students opportunities for community service experience and personal development through taking up the roles of student civic fellows in non-profits. Apart from performing tasks and executing responsibilities, we expect student civic fellows to be able to connect their fellowship experience to their learning goals and reflect as they go through it.

Time Commitment: 4 - 29 January 2021 (Full time)
Subsidy: HK6,000 per month
Application Deadline: 11 Apr 2021 (Sun)

Hong Kong Family Welfare Society

- Assist in planning and organizing financial-related board games competition;
- Support and manage the social media platform, including creating Facebook and Instagram posts;
- Produce short video and lazy-pack (懶人包) for promotion on social media;
- Conduct a program survey and assist in data analysis;
- Responsible for daily office work

- Assist in street counters, training programs and workshops;
- Support the community projects in different districts, including but not limited to Sham Shui Po, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon City, Sha Tin and Island District;
- Support any other ad hoc duties

The Salvation Army Shamshuipo Family Support Networking Team

- Assist in organizing outreaching and home visits;
- Assist in distributing resources to underprivileged families to prevent the spread of COVID-19;
- Organize the service record and profile of the service recipients
- Assist in handling the Community Care Fund application
