[This is a talk in Changemaker Gear Up Training Series (GUTS)]

Are you excited in getting your first ever credit card but also worried about overspending? Managing money might be a roller coaster journey. Poor money management can lead to getting into debt and an overall lower quality of life due to high stress level, relationship issues, health complications, etc. On the contrary, can proper financial management really bring you wealth? Financial literacy is a lifelong lesson and it is also a lesson that is not included in your textbook. Join our session to get some insights and tips of financial literacy shared by The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC). Prepare for your future and make good use of your resources to make a difference in the society!

The Chin Family Financial Speaker of the Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC)

Mr. Hui is The Chin Family Financial Speaker. He has more than 16 years of teaching experience in global economics analysis, personal finance and investment. He also provides training in logical thinking and business strategy to multinational corporations in HK. Mr. Hui obtained his master degree at the University of Toronto, Canada.

The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC)
Established in 2012 and supported by four financial regulators and the Education Bureau, the Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) is a public organisation dedicated to leading financial literacy in Hong Kong. The IFEC promotes and delivers free and impartial financial education resources and programmes through its consumer education platform, The Chin Family, and leads the Financial Literacy Strategy to create a conducive environment for stakeholders to deliver more quality financial education to various segments of the Hong Kong population.

Description

Remarks:
1. Complete 3 GUTS talks/workshops to get a certificate of participation.

2. Priority will be given to HKUST Connect registrants (Start your changemaking journey with HKUST Connect: https://connect.hkust.edu.hk/joinus).

3. To avoid interruption and hindering the progress of the session, facilitators may not admit new participants who are late for more than 10 minutes.

4. [CORE1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of CORE1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 1 hour.

5. [Changemaker 30] 3 Points will be awarded upon complete attendance of the session for Changemaker 30 registrants.
