The Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) is one of the major charitable non-governmental social welfare organisations in Hong Kong. With a “family-centric” perspective, HKFWS are committed to delivering quality and professional social services to enhance the wellbeing of families and individuals in Hong Kong and foster a caring community.
HKFWS Family Resource Centre started the program in 2014, aiming to provide support and services to children in divorced families, from "big brothers and sisters" volunteers who have experienced parental divorce. Through activities such as monthly gatherings, the program will provide children with encouragement and positivity, and help them to adapt to the great changes brought by divorce.
Current students or graduates from tertiary education institutes who are interested in serving children from divorced families and who have experienced parental divorce, are now invited to participate in the program, to share their personal experience in order to support children in adversity, and be the hope of overcoming difficulties and changes.
