Connect for Change 2023 - Global Service Day
For Students and Alumni Currently Overseas
The impact of our students and alumni extends well beyond Hong Kong. We encourage HKUST students and alumni who are currently outside of Hong Kong to join our movement by sharing your local community service experience with the HKUST community!
You can participate in volunteer service of any organization locally or explore community needs and carry out your own services, lending a helping hand to those in need.
How to participate
- Complete a volunteer service locally between 14 April - 14 May 2023.
- Post a photo/video of yourself participating in the service on your Instagram or Facebook social media account, and tag @hkustconnect, #ConnectforChange, #GlobalServiceDay.
- Direct message us on IG or FB with a screenshot or video of your post
Submit the entry to us by 14 May 2023. The photos and videos may be shared on the HKUST Connect or HKUST's social media platform to spread the service culture.
Note: To protect the privacy of the service clients, remember to ask for their consent before taking and uploading service photos. Avoid taking photos from the front. Also, check out the Code of Practice for Undertaking Service.
Volunteers who successfully participate in the event will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation. Let's work together to spread care across the world!
