Bunnies are cute and cuddly animals that many people love as pets. However, there are also many bunnies that are abandoned or neglected in Hong Kong. Some of them are rescued by Hong Kong Bunny Rescue (HKBR), a non-profit organization that provides food, medical care, sterilization and adoption services for bunnies in need. In this service, volunteers will visit HKBR’s shelter in Tsuen Wan to understand the organization’s work and challenges ahead. Volunteers will have the chance to show love and care to the rescued bunnies, and assist HKBR staff in cleaning the shelter and cages. 兔兔深受人們喜愛，不少人會飼養牠們作為寵物。但是，香港亦不乏被遺棄或被忽視的兔兔。當中有少部份有幸得到香港救兔之家的幫助，獲得提供糧食、醫療、絕育及領養等機會和服務。參與這次服務的義工將會到香港救兔之家的荃灣兔舍，協助清潔兔舍及兔籠，藉此了解機構的工作及所面對的挑戰。 Date: 23 Nov 2023 (Thu) Time: 2 - 5:45pm Gathering Time & Venue: 2pm @Tsuen Wan West MTR Station Exit A #You are required to attend the whole service program, including Briefing, Service & Debriefing.

1. [Penalty for withdrawal after 16 Nov and/or absence] This service is fully subsidized by Comfort Paws. If you are unable to participate in the program as scheduled, you should send us a written notification to connect@ust.hk no later than 16 Nov 2023 (Thu). Students who withdraw from the Program after 16 Nov 2023 or are absent from the Program will be charged an HKD125 program fee. 2. [HMAW1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 3.25 hours. 3. The actual service hours will be subject to confirmation by the partner organization. 4. Volunteers should not be afraid of rabbits and should have no allergies to animals. 5. Volunteers should be ready to clean the rabbit shelter and animal excrement, and perform other duties as assigned by the association.
