[This is an Experience under Community GO] *This opportunity requires participants to be proficient in Cantonese. If you want to understand the circumstances of persons with disabilities, nothing is better than putting yourself into their "shoes" - living with wheelchair. In "Equal Tour 180", participants will be led and guided by trainers from Hong Kong PHAB Association to use wheelchairs in completing various daily tasks in the community. Through "walking" into the community, participants will experience the importance of provision of barrier-free access facilities to wheelchair users, increase their understanding towards "carer" and "care receiver", and cultivate the right attitude on physically handicapped and able bodied (PHAB) integration. 要了解傷殘人士狀況，莫如親身飾演傷殘人士。透過180分鐘的社區體驗，由傷、健導師帶領參加者坐上輪椅走入社區，使用無障礙設施，了解設施對輪椅使用者的重要性。參加者會代入輪椅使用者的角色，於社區完成不同的日常生活任務。過程中，參加者有機會交替轉換身份，領略「照顧」與「被照顧」的不同心情，親身實踐「共融」。 Date: 19 Nov 2023 (Sun) Time: 9:30am - 1pm Gathering Time & Venue: 9:30am @Cheung Sha Wan MTR Station Exit A #You are required to attend the whole service program, including Briefing, Service & Debriefing.

Students who withdrawn after the deadline or absent from the event will be charged a HKD200 program fee. 3. [HMAW1905] The is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 3 hours. 4. The actual service hours will be subject to confirmation by the partner organization.
