Description

Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden's (KFBG) Wild Animal Rescue Centre (WARC) is the only non-government wildlife rescue centre operating in the Hong Kong SAR under a special licence from the Director of the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department (AFCD). The Centre's facilities include a veterinary hospital, quarantine facilities, animal holding enclosures and rehabilitation facilities. Between 1994 and 2020, over 52,000 animals were received by the Rescue Centre. About half were successfully nursed back to health and returned to the wild, or were found a permanent home in an appropriate local or overseas conservation facility.

Description
Duties:
  • Assist the general care of rescued animals. (i.e. food preparation, cleaning of animal enclosures and laundry) 
  • Assist with regular animal checks, treatments and animal feeding
  • Preparing animals for release to the wild
Time Commitment: Full time: 2 Jun - 1 Aug 2025   

Mon - Fri : 8:30am - 5pm 

Location: Tai Po 
Subsidy:

HK$22,000 subsidy upon satisfactory completion of the whole program

Requirements:
  • Enjoys nature and is physically fit for outdoor activities
  • Self-motivated, creative with outgoing personality and energetic
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Good command of English and Cantonese (spoken and written)
