香港每天都會產生大量厨餘垃圾，尤以農曆新年後爲甚。「惜食堂」以停止浪費、解決飢餓為宗旨，致力向本地飲食界回收仍可安全食用之剩食，通過嚴格的食物安檢程序，送交機構中央廚房烹煮成營養均衡的飯餐。你將會到「惜食堂」的工場，協助用回收食材煮成的飯餐裝入膳食餐盒，以便送贈予社區基層人士享用，從源頭減少食物浪費，同時解決飢餓。
