Update on 10 March 2020:
On 6 Mar 2020, the HKSAR Government Department of Health issued advice for the public to consider delaying all non-essential travel outside of Hong Kong. In response to the rapidly evolving global health situation surrounding COVID-19 and holding the health, safety and best interests of our students as our highest priority, the University decided to suspend all outbound student activities to take place outside of Hong Kong during the Summer Term. Hence, all Service Learning Trips organized / coordinated by HKUST Connect this Summer Term will be suspended. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Wat Opot Children's Community is rare, and perhaps unique in Cambodia, for HIV-infected and non-infected children to live together as family, sharing homes and meals and playing together. There are around 45 to 60 children aged 2 to 19 living in the community where some of them are orphans. The primary goal of the community is to restore the joy of the children. Their founder, Wayne believes that with love, kindness, service, faith and commitment, Wat Opot Children's Community is a place of joy.
